Mondays with Marilyn/Mornings with Marianne

I am so happy to say I am thrilled with my decision to start the new year with a program that totally aligns with my hearts desires to enhance my Spiritual Growth. And this course is certainly doing that. 

“A Course in Miracles”…which I started January 1st, includes two video lessons from Marianne Williamson. They arrive daily by email and are in my “in box” first thing every morning. I’ve never been much on “structure”. Monday to Friday 9-5 jobs were never my thing. So I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am enjoying having this structure in place. Especially here in Mexico with its laid back lifestyle & energy. 

Mornings with Marianne is a wonderful way to start my day & I am learning so much.  Sometimes the lessons seem deep & beyond my comprehension. That’s only when I try to figure them out with my mind instead of just letting them resonate “within” or as Marianne suggests…”wash over” me. 

The overall message I am garnering is simple…Love! Love Matters Most. I am learning there really are only two basic emotions. Love and fear. And we can choose which one will permeate our thoughts, which then dictates our behaviour & alters our vision of the world outside of ourselves. 

And that totally resonates with my belief that I am here to be a clear channel for my Creators love to flow in & thru me. That we all are. That we are all here to be of service to each other. The foundation for that service is Love. And non-judgement. Fear is the foundation  of judgement, which comes from the Ego mind. And that I can change. 

Hmmm. I’ve always thought I had to manage my Ego…shut it down, ignore it, control it. Learning to train my Ego mind is a refreshing idea. Noticing what I am noticing (as I learned from my life coach Patricia Campbell), and asking myself if I am thinking out of Love or fear in any given situation is easy. 

Well perhaps easier said than done, but thats what training my mind is all about. I can choose Loving thoughts or ones based in fear & ultimately judgement. 

It will take practice to do that, to undo the previous training…the training of the Ego/Mind dominate & fear based world that has become prevalent and teaches us to be afraid. To be separate. 

And I know now that no longer serves me or mankind. Nor has it ever. So I shall do my part to remember who I am & why I am here and return to love, all-ways!
