Better Late than Never/What Matters Most

It’s been quite sometime since I wrote here. I started writing my blog on my Facebook page and forgot all about adding it here. I thought about it many times, but like many of my “projects”, I kept putting it on the back burner knowing when the time was right, I would get to it. Well today the time seemed right. So here I am again. I will post my Monday’s with Marilyn Blog here as well as on my Heaven Can Wait Facebook page. And from time to time may add other tidbits of my life journey, and inner & outer travel journey!

I am now back in Mexico for the winter, after 2 + years of travelling in our motorhome, after another surgery to remove a cancerous spot on my right lung, and many many adventures in between. We (my hubby & I) are here until the end of April so I have lots of time to complete some of the projects I started.

So I’ll start here, adding my New Years “Mondays with Marilyn”, Facebook Blog Post…What Matters Most.

It’s a brand New Year & I am excited about continuing to share my life’s journey & experiences here on my blog.

And at this time, I am even more happy to be sharing it from my favourite place…sunny warm Mexico!

I’ve mentioned many times that my Personal & Spiritual growth/development has always been a priority most of my adult life.

It matters most because I know that achieving my ultimate life goal… of attaining Inner Peace/Self Actualization is truly possible & remembering “who I really am” is totally my responsibility.

I know that at the core of my inner being I am love…that the true essence of each of us, is love. But I forget this from time to time, as we all do. When I forget that, I fall victim to my mind and Ego that tries to convince me otherwise, that perceives things through the lens of fear, doubt & most of all judgement. Then I act in ways that are not aligned with my true self. With my heart & soul. My Spirit!! My inner peace is totally disrupted. As is my happiness!

Remembering & forgetting who I really am is pattern indeed. A pattern worth transforming.

Well this year I have signed up for Marianne Williamson’s “A Course in Miracles” to help keep me on track… on the Spiritual journey to enlightenment & inner peace I am on. To help keep me “remembering” who I really am and how I want to be and experience this world!

I wrote this song, “What Matters Most” many years ago. (Rather I took dictation as the words and music flowed through me onto the paper) It is What Matters Most! And for me, it is worth remembering…

What Matters Most

If you look into my eyes

I know you will see

The Spirit that lives deep inside of me

You can call it the Creator, Great Spirit, Holy Ghost

What you feel inside yourself

Is what matters most

So take a look around

See the beauty

Feel the presence

Hear the sounds

Then take a look inside

What matters most is something you can’t hide

My eyes tell a story

Yours can do the same

If you open up your heart & soul

Just let go & surrender to the love thats all around
